Launch of third phase of PESSIS ‘Promoting Employers’ Social Services organisations in Social Dialogue’.
On the 21st January, the third phase of the PESSIS project was launched in a kick-off meeting organised by EASPD bringing together partners from both European level and national level. SSE acts as an associate partner in the project coordinated by EASPD.
The project focuses on the creation of a European network representing employers in the social services sector (from the social economy). This would enable social services employers to become recognised social partners at European level and take part in the European Social Dialogue (ESD). Bringing the sector into ESD would significantly strengthen the sector’s impact on European legislation in the field of Employment and Social Affairs.
The main outcomes from the project, which will be completed by November 2017, will be the following:
-
5 country studies on the state of play of social dialogue structures in the social services sector in the UK, Hungary, Romania, Portugal and the Slovak Republic
-
An updated European report, covering data from 22 Country Reports
-
3 National action plans towards the interest of national employers' from Spain, Ireland and the Czech Republic to take part in ESD
-
A Joint Declaration on a political issue of importance to the sector between Employers from Austria, Belgium, France and Germany, with feedback from the sector’s trade union representatives
-
3 National positions of adherence on the Joint Declaration from Employers in Spain, Ireland and the Czech Republic
-
A Sectoral Agreement on a social dialogue issue of importance to the sector between Employers from Austria, Belgium, France and Germany, with feedback from the sector’s trade union representatives
-
A Communication and Dissemination Plan, an Evaluation Plan, and Final Narrative and Financial Reporting to the European Commission
-
