SSE Working Areas
Social Services Europe aims to strengthen the profile and position of social services, and to promote the role of not-for-profit social service providers throughout Europe. Our common areas of work are social services of general interest – including the European legislation on state aid, public procurement and the freedoms of the internal market – , the role of social service providers, staff and human resource issues (with a focus on recruitment and retention), the quality of social services, social economy, social entrepreneurship, social innovation, EU Structural Funds and the European Semester.
"The main purpose of SSE’s joint policy and advocacy work is to obtain a supportive legal/regulatory, financial and quality EU-level framework for social services, their users and their providers and to improve it, where and whenever possible, in a sense to be able to achieve sustainable and effective financial and operating conditions for social service providers and a high quality of life for their users, based on their dignity and their social and human rights."
